About the 6505+
The Peavey 6505+ is the defining amplifier for metalcore, deathcore and extreme metal genres. Its Rhythm channel produces an extremely tight, saturated high-gain crunch with a compressed low-end ideal for palm-muted riff playing, while the Lead channel opens up for sustaining solos. Bands including Trivium, Killswitch Engage and Parkway Drive built their sonic identity through the 6505+. The 6505 (without the +) omits the clean channel.
