This policy is written in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

If you do not agree with any part of this policy, please discontinue use of the Site.

1. Information We Collect

Managing cookies

You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Instructions vary by browser — consult your browser's help documentation for guidance. Note that disabling cookies may affect the functionality of some features on the Site.

You can also opt out of interest-based advertising by visiting the Your Online Choices tool (UK) or by using Google's opt-out tool.

3. Google AdSense Advertising

We use Google AdSense (operated by Google LLC) to display advertisements on the Site. Google AdSense uses cookies and similar tracking technologies to serve adverts based on your prior visits to this and other websites.

Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visit to the Site and/or other sites on the internet. You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings.

For more information on how Google collects and uses data, please review the Google Privacy Policy.

4. Analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how visitors use the Site. Google Analytics collects anonymised data about your behaviour on the Site, including which pages you visit, how long you stay and how you arrived.

We have enabled IP anonymisation so that your full IP address is never stored by Google Analytics. Data collected through Google Analytics is processed and stored on Google's servers and is subject to the Google Privacy Policy.

You can opt out of Google Analytics tracking at any time by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.

5. Affiliate Links and Referrals

Some pages on ToneStakr may contain affiliate links — links to third-party retailers and services through which we may earn a small commission if you make a purchase. This is at no extra cost to you.

Affiliate programmes we participate in may include, but are not limited to:

  • Thomann (thomann.de) — partner programme
  • Andertons Music Co. (andertons.co.uk) — Linkby network
  • Gear4Music (gear4music.com) — Awin network
  • Reverb (reverb.com) — Impact network
  • Other music equipment retailers with affiliate programmes

Affiliate links are used to recommend gear genuinely relevant to the content. Our editorial recommendations are not influenced by affiliate relationships — we only link to products we believe are genuinely useful. Where affiliate links are present, they will be clearly indicated.

Please be aware that third-party retailers have their own privacy policies, which govern any data you provide when making a purchase. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of external retailers.

As we do not operate user accounts or collect submitted personal data, we do not hold identifiable individual records that require active deletion.

10. Data Security
