The Electro-Harmonix Small Clone is the chorus pedal Kurt Cobain used on Come As You Are and many other Nirvana recordings — its full-rate, depth-switch design produces a lush, deep chorus with a slightly wobbly, vintage character different from the tighter, more clinical sound of Boss or TC chorus pedals. David Bowie's touring band used Small Clones throughout the 1990s. The two-control simplicity (rate knob + depth switch) makes it instantly accessible.
