About the DS-2 Turbo Distortion
The Boss DS-2 Turbo Distortion builds on the DS-1 formula with two switchable Turbo modes. Turbo I sounds close to the DS-1 with slightly more character; Turbo II adds heavy compression and a tighter, more modern voicing suited for tapping runs and extended techniques. Kurt Cobain used a DS-2 alongside his DS-1 in the Nevermind recording sessions. The remote switching input allows footswitch-free mode changes mid-song.
