The Duesenberg Starplayer TV is the German maker's flagship — a semi-hollow guitar built to a genuinely original design rather than a Gretsch or Rickenbacker copy, despite sitting in similar tonal territory. Its two Duesenberg-designed single-coil pickups (Domino in the neck, a higher-output unit in the bridge) and the brand's own multi-position rotary/toggle switching produce a chiming, articulate voice with more output range than a typical vintage-style hollowbody. Build quality is exceptionally high — hand-finished in Germany with a distinctive f-hole-free chambered body that resists feedback better than a fully hollow archtop.
