Strymon Flint Tremolo & Reverb
Strymon · ModulationThe Strymon Flint is the definitive blues modulation pedal — it reproduces three Fender amp tremolo circuits (optical, harmonic, and tube-driven) and three Fender amp spring reverb tanks in one compact pedal. For blues guitarists who want the exact Fender amplifier tremolo and spring reverb combination without a vintage amp, the Flint is the most accurate and comprehensive solution.
Blues settings on this unit:
Bias tremolo (the warmest, most liquid Flint tremolo type) with light reverb. Bias tremolo simulates the behavior of a biased power tube's bias point modulation — a particularly warm, organic tremolo character. At Speed 4 it's moderate and musical; Intensity 7 makes it clearly present.
Strengths
- Three Fender amp tremolo models — optical, harmonic, and tube-driven character
- Combined spring reverb and tremolo in one pedal — the two core Fender blues amp effects
- The most accurate Fender tremolo emulation available in pedal format
Worth knowing
Expensive for a single-purpose application — if you only need tremolo without spring reverb, the TC Electronic Shaker Vibrato or Boss TR-2 is more cost-effective.
