The Ibanez TS9 Tube Screamer is the production-era successor to the legendary TS808, sharing the same warm, mid-boosting overdrive character at a lower price point. Slightly brighter and a touch more aggressive than the TS808, the TS9 became the go-to overdrive for blues, country, and rock players through the 1980s and 1990s. It pairs beautifully with a slightly cranked tube amp, adding sustain and singing compression without masking pick attack.
