What Makes This Sound Unique
Stripped-back acoustic alternative ballad — perhaps Cantrell's most vulnerable and direct writing. The electric guitar is almost entirely absent; the tone is all fingerpicked acoustic with a delicate clean electric doubling the melody. The Jar of Flies EP showed the band's acoustic range completely.

Amp Settings
The electric Telecaster is barely audible — it doubles the acoustic melody at low volume in the mix. Clean amp with natural reverb. No distortion of any kind. The emotional content is purely acoustic-based.
Technique
How to Play It
Fingerpicked acoustic — thumb handles the bass notes while fingers pick the melodic line. Very gentle touch; the dynamic range is entirely between soft and very soft. The electric part is played with fingers rather than a pick for warmth.

Achievable With
Any acoustic guitar fingerpicked softly. Electric: Telecaster neck pickup → any reverb-equipped clean amp at low volume doubling the melody.
