T-Bone Walker Tone — Plugins & Amp Sims

T-Bone's tone is the definition of warm electric blues: a neck-pickup Gibson archtop through a clean Fender combo, slightly overdriven at the output stage but never distorted. His vibrato was wide and smooth — achieved entirely by the fretting hand — and his single-line melodies danced over the band with a vocal quality that predates the wah pedal by two decades. The richness comes from playing close to the neck pickup, keeping the guitar's tone control rolled slightly back, and letting the amp breathe at a healthy volume.
