The JMP 50W rather than the JCM800 — Yngwie prefers the older Marshall for its warmer mid-range character. The DOD 250 acts as a clean boost rather than an overdrive, pushing the Marshall preamp harder without adding its own distortion character.

How to Play It

Sweep picking at maximum speed with perfect articulation — Trilogy Suite Op. 5 is built on descending and ascending arpeggio sweeps derived from classical chord voicings. Each note of the sweep must be distinct at high speed.
