Jazz chords and runs on a Telecaster — Gatton mastered virtually every American guitar style and applied them through a single instrument setup. Harlem Nocturne uses full jazz chord voicings (7ths, 9ths, 13ths) on the Telecaster's thin neck, which is less comfortable than an archtop's wider neck but produces more cutting single-note lines.
