Primary guitar from Nevermind tour onwards. Left-handed player — used left-handed Mustangs. Short-scale 24" neck with a slightly sloppy feel he preferred. Multiple custom Mustangs built for the In Utero tour.

Used extensively on Bleach and early Nevermind material. Offset body, short-scale, available cheaply in the late 1980s when vintage instruments were unfashionable.
